OPC UA Online Workshop, October 2024

Prosys OPC will organize the OPC UA Online Workshop on October 1-3, 2024 at 9:00-17:00 CEST (UTC+2). We offer an alternative date for day 3 for our German participants.
We have designed this workshop to provide you with a deep understanding of OPC UA technology and practical hands-on experience. You will have the opportunity to develop applications using Java, .NET, Delphi, and C++ SDKs.
Hosted on the Microsoft Teams platform, the training offers the flexibility for participants to engage from anywhere in the world. Through this platform, the workshop’s expert instructor will deliver training materials, conduct live demonstrations, and even provide real-time assessment of participants’ exercises when required.
Pricing and Content
Just like our previous online workshops, materials, and demonstrations are designed for three days of training. Based on your goals, you can select one, two, or three days of training. You can see the pricing for this workshop below.
- 1 day: 795 € / person
- 2 days: 1195 € / person
- 3 days: 1595 € / person
Day 1 of the online workshop serves as the recommended starting point for anyone interested in OPC UA. You will receive a comprehensive introduction to OPC UA specifications, its features, applications, scope, products, and use cases. Key areas such as Information Modeling, Communication Model, and Security Concepts will each have their sessions. End of the day 1 is followed by a presentation of the future roadmap of OPC UA specification.
Over the course of days 2 and 3, you will dive into creating OPC UA Client and Server applications. With the guidance of expert instructors, you will develop the applications using Java, .NET, Delphi, and C++ SDKs. This approach ensures a thorough understanding of essential OPC UA features, which you can later apply to establish connections with various devices and systems using OPC UA.
In summary, during the workshop, you will learn to:
- Install and use OPC UA applications
- Connect an OPC UA client to the OPC UA server
- Navigate through the server address space to find information
- Read and write data
- Create subscriptions to monitor data changes and events
- Create OPC UA client and server using an SDK
- Define and use OPC UA information models
- Define and use OPC UA methods, alarms, and history data
