Two years ago, we began developing a next-generation edge product to exceed the demands of modern industrial environments. This effort resulted in the launch of Prosys OPC UA Forge. Forge is a scalable, future-proof solution that integrates and improves on the core functionalities of Historian and Modbus Server, among others.

Since its release, Forge has received positive feedback from customers. This validation has encouraged us to continue enhancing its capabilities. Forge offers a robust, unified platform that surpasses the functionality of our legacy products and aligns with the industry’s technological advancements.

What This Means for Our Customers

  1. No New Licenses: We will no longer sell new licenses for Historian or Modbus Server, effective immediately.
  2. Migration Assistance: Our sales team will contact all active customers to discuss tailored migration plans. Exclusive offers will be available through 2025 and 2026.
  3. Extended Support: We will provide technical support and security updates for Historian and Modbus Server until the end of 2026.

We understand that transitions can be challenging. To support a smooth migration to Forge, we are here to assist with planning and implementation. Forge is not just a replacement—it is a significant step forward. It is a unified, modern solution designed to meet both current and future demands.
