November 10, 2025
We are pleased to announce the release of Prosys OPC UA Forge 1.5.0, which introduces several new modules and improvements based on user feedback from production environments. The update expands Forge’s capabilities for data integration and automation while maintaining its focus on practical and reliable industrial connectivity.
Key Highlights of Version 1.5.0:
- SQL Connector – Access Data from SQL Databases
Provides direct connections to SQL databases and enables mapping query results to OPC UA Nodes. Simplifies integration between industrial systems and business data sources, allowing OPC UA clients to access information stored in relational databases through a standardized interface. - File Suite/Module – File-Based Data Exchange
Enables reading and writing JSON and XML files in local directories and over network protocols such as FTP, SFTP, and SMB. Allows users to integrate Forge with systems and devices that exchange information through files, supporting both legacy and modern environments. - Method Instances – Define OPC UA Methods
Makes possible to define new OPC UA Methods within Forge, improving compatibility with OPC UA information models and companion specifications. Allows Forge projects to represent and expose operations defined in standard models more accurately. - Method Scripting / Method Logic – Custom Method Behavior
Allows users to define the behavior of Methods directly in the application. Makes it easier to implement business or process logic for specific use cases and enhances the interaction between clients and servers. - One-to-Many Array Mapping – Flexible Data Modeling
Supports mapping a single array to multiple OPC UA Nodes. Addition simplifies configuration and improves usability in cases where data needs to be distributed across several Nodes.
