Prosys OPC UA SDK for Java 5.2.0 Released
We have released a new version of Prosys OPC UA SDK for Java.
This is a new minor release of the SDK. It contains new features, bug fixes, improvements, and security-related fixes.
This version’s new features include:
- Support for connecting to servers that only support GetEndpoints from a Discovery Endpoint.
- A function to retrieve default values for any given OPC UA DataType.
- Support for writing UaNodeSet(s). Support for getting NodeManagerUaNode as UaNodeSet(s).
- UaClient-like API via UaServer.getLoopbackClient without a real connection required.
The fixes for this release include the following:
- Decoders’ Array validation was missing in some cases.
- A rare deadlock when having 64+ UaClients renewing their SecureChannel simultaneously in the same JVM.
- Method UserExecutable is now checked correctly when Method and the Object for which it was called are in separate namespaces.
Additionally, the BouncyCastle dependency was updated to version 1.78.1. Even if you don’t update to this SDK version, we recommend updating your BC version to get their latest security improvements introduced in version 1.78.
NOTE: Bug fix update 5.2.2 is also available; see the new Release notes »
